Gustavus Adolphus
became King of Sweden in the year 1611 at the young age of 17. Though
he was so young, the Swedish Parliament itself waived the age requirement
due to the young prince's accomplishments. His young age could have been
a weakness, but he was well tutored in the ways of society; even before
he was made King, he had attended council meetings since he was 10 years
old.
He had a natural ability
to be a leader, which lead to him becoming a General.
He ruled until his
death in the Battle of Lutzen, November 1632.
